Plans to save 100 year old, historic Stallings building

Less than a year ago, the historic 108-year-old Stallings building in downtown Carrollton was facing sure death from the wrecker’s ball. City Manager Casey Coleman had called the 42-foot-tall structure “an eyesore,” and the city purchased the building with plans to demolish it for park space.

​The Stallings building, however, got a reprieve from the city last week when the Carrollton City Council voted to lease the Newnan Street building to GreenCourt Technologies LLC, a new local company that will be selling court system software.
